By a sweet coincidence, I re-found this song on YouTube. It was one of my favorites when it first came out and I think it, like a lot of songs, does a wonderful job of speaking when we can’t really find the right words.
So you’re walking on the edge,
And you wait your turn to fall.
But you're so far gone,
That you don't see the hands upheld to catch you
But you should never let the sun set on tomorrow
Before the sun rises today The answers we find,
Are never what we had in mind.
So we make it up as we go along

This week is our spring break from school, and John is away for business Monday – Friday. Not that that changes anything about my plans, but I have a (quite lofty) list of goals that I want to accomplish before the week is over. Here is the list, complete with my progress:
Clean up living room
Clean up kitchen, including pantry & fridge
Clean bathrooms
Catch up on laundry
Grade my students’ papers
Read articles for Diversity class
Write journal for Diversity class
Buy stamps
Mail some letters
Read a book for pleasure
Get my camera fixed
Return a rough draft to Dr. Tokar
Do my counseling homework
Wrap Emma’s baby shower gift
Visit Greg in Pittsburgh
Visit John at OnBase Training
Catch up with some friends
Pretty insane. Let’s see if any of this actually gets done!

So I woke up this morning and my face was covered with little red bumps. It feels raw and itchy, and my left eye is super swollen. I think it might be an allergic reaction to something, but I am not sure what. I haven’t really done anything differently except for two things: I started wearing a new face cream about a week ago, and I ate banana peppers for the first time last night. I don’t know if banana peppers would cause your whole face to swell up, but the itching started shortly after that happened, and then I went to bed, and it was all red when I woke up. I don’t know if it would take a week for me to develop a reaction to the face cream. Any guesses?!

I was cutting pita bread to make homemade pita chips this evening, and I accidentally sliced halfway through my middle finger with the knife. It was pretty blatant—like I went down it with a sawing motion and everything. And the knife was Cutco, so it did not take much effort to do the damage! The blood soaked through 3 layers of bandages, sweet!
When it finally stopped bleeding we cleaned it out and it looks okay; it is just sore! At least the pita chips came out delicious :-).
