Wow, sorry I haven’t been posting very much lately. This season has been incredibly nuts with all of the stuff related to that word I am trying not to say. (You know, the one that starts with an I and ends in nternship).
Unfortunately, it really doesn’t feel like Christmas is 5 days away, even though we are all decorated, cards have been sent out, and the shopping is done. I still have to wrap all of John’s gifts, but aside from that I am in pretty good shape. I just can’t seem to get into it this year like I did last year. Maybe it’s because it still hasn’t really snowed; maybe it’s because I am SUPER preoccupied with that afore-un-mentioned other stuff; maybe a combination of both. This is the first year I have had to work at my practicum site all through the break (even the week between Christmas and New Years), so that is confusing me as well.
Good news is that I got more interviews than I expected. Here are the stats:
I applied to a grand total of 18 sites
Got rejections from 5
Got offers for interviews from 12
Still haven’t heard back from 1
The interviews are happening over the course of 2.5-ish weeks, so that is going to be absolutely nuts. The worst is going to be January 4 -January 6, when I have 4 interviews in the scope of 3 days. Wish me luck!!!
But anyway, if I’m not as “around” as I usually am over the next few weeks, this is TOTALLY why.
